Ossuaire Vase

$365
Description

Ossuaire is a vase conceived as an anachronistic artefact originating from the thistle. A marginal, dried flower that appears almost fossilized when preserved, it remains rooted in the realm of the living while already evoking the notion of a relic. Imagined as a remnant from an undefined future, its ambiguous form oscillates between organism and xenomorphic archaeological fragment.

This vase explores the encounter between an archaic imaginary and contemporary fabrication technologies. Light appears contained and protected within its structure, like a presence extracted from its original state and placed into preservation. Its development relies on a procedural 3D modelling process that transforms hand-drawn forms into volumetric structures, while preserving the spontaneity of the initial gesture. These fragments are then reorganized through a principle of symmetry, creating a crystallized organic structure: a form where the scientific rigor of the mineral meets the softness and imperfection of the living.
